Course content
|
Topics: 1) Transmissive and constructive approaches to education. A pupil and a teacher in mathematical education. 2) Content of mathematical teaching (curriculum, educational standard, framework, school framework, key competences, integration of subjects). 3) Mathematical tasks at primary schools, classification and typology of tasks, solution methods. Textbooks of mathematics, its use in education process. 4) Pupil in mathematical education ( talented and underachieving pupil, education of pupils with special needs). Methods and forms, tools for developing pupil?s personality.

Learning outcomes
|
This course offers an overview of current mathematics teaching conceptions and it provides an analysis of the reflection of these conceptions in current mathematical education at basic schools.
The subject enables to gain basic competencies to reflect own mathematical teaching at primary schools and to compare theoretical knowledge with educational reality.

Prerequisites
|
The successful completion of the course is conditioned by the mastery of basic mathematical skills and by the ability of the student to apply the aforementioned skills within the context of didactics.

Activities in seminars, handing in a portfolio by a given deadline.
