Learning outcomes
The task of the practical discipline is to develop and consolidate piano playing skills in terms of sensorimotor, interpretation and application. Through the study of selected pieces of piano literature (Czech and international), students improve their piano technique, get to know musical styles and genres, and consolidate their knowledge of other music theory subjects. In addition to cognitive and aesthetic aspects, this subject is intended to prepare the future teacher for the practical use of instrumental skills in music teaching work. Objectives: Upon graduation, students should be able to: - play a pre-specified composition at an appropriate tempo with correct hitting and motor skills, - interpret the assigned composition in accordance with stylistic differences, explain and differentiate the main features of styles and styles, - respect formative and tectonic principles, harmonic, melodic and rhythmic regularities and peculiarities when playing, - perform the given composition with the appropriate emotional coloring, correctly agogically and expressively - critically evaluate own performance, recognize mistakes and correct them, - generalize and transfer acquired skills and knowledge to the practice of other compositions. This course is taught on individual basis and is primarily designed for students of Department of Music Education. We can accept students from other departments only if capacity allows.
