The student will prepare a written thesis and discuss: 1. one thematic area, which they choose from the structure of the field of music education according to I. Poledňák (POLEDŇÁK, I. Music Education. In Lébl, V., Poledňák, I. (eds.) Music Science II. Prague: State Pedagogical Publishing House, 1988.) or Fukač, Vereš, and Tesař (FUKAČ, J., TESAŘ, S., VEREŠ, J., Music Education: Concepts and Applications of Music Educational Ideas in the Past and Present. Brno: Masaryk University, 2000. ISBN 80-21024585), Holas (HOLAS, M. Music Education. Prague: AMU Publishing House, 2004. ISBN 80-7331-018-X.) or Abel-Struth, S. (ABEL-STRUTH, S. Principles of Music Pedagogy. Mainz: Schott, 1985. ISBN 3-7957-2052-4.). 2. A second music pedagogical topic, which correlates with the content or methodology of their doctoral dissertation. The length of the written theses for the exam is four standard pages. Moreover, the student will attach a list of studied literature from music pedagogy, consisting of at least 10 titles. Three titles must be in foreign languages (EN, DE).
