Learning outcomes
The course aims to acquire knowledge and competencies in music psychology, mainly focusing on issues related to the educational space. 1. The student will acquire a comprehensive knowledge of music psychological issues, which is typical for music perception. 2. The student will know the cognitive aspects of the processing of musical material. 3. He/she will be able to define the typical features of musicality in different age categories. 4. He/she will distinguish between the internal and external factors involved in musicality in ontogeny when preparing his/her scientific topic.

Assessment methods and criteria
unspecified The student prepares a written thesis and discusses: 1. one thematic area, which they choose from the structure of the field of music psychology according to I. Poledňák (POLEDŇÁK, I. Music Psychology. In Lébl, V., Poledňák, I. (eds.) Music Science II. Prague: State Pedagogical Publishing House, 1988.) or M. Fraňka (FRANĚK, M. Music Psychology. Prague: Karolinum, 2005). 2. a second selected psychological musical topic that corresponds with the subject matter of their doctoral dissertation, either in content or methodology. The written thesis for the exam is a total of 4 standard pages. The student also attaches a list of personally studied literature from music psychology, comprising at least 10 titles. Three titles must be in foreign languages (En, D).
