Cultural and social anthropology is a science that studies the development, structure, and function of various cultures in time and place. Related to physical and developmental anthropology. Main streams of thinking and personalities in the field. Basic terms, their definition and relations.

After completing the course, students should be able to: - Describe the basic issues and categories of cultural and social anthropology as an independent science, - Clarify the source of multiculturalism and ethnocentrism in defining culture, - Describe and interpret the structure and function of different cultures in time and space, - Describe and interpret and to compare the major cultural institutions (family, economy, religion and knowledge), - Compare ways of cultural adaptation to the environment of different communities.
