Course content
1. Organization of pediatric care in the Czech Republic - outpatient and inpatient care. 2. Growth and development of the child - the division of childhood - periodization of children's growth, evaluation of physical growth. 3. Care for physiological newborn - Classification of newborns, the first treatment. 4. Regular medical examinations of the child from birth. The system of vaccination of children in the Czech Republic - mandatory regular and extra vaccinations. 5th Nutrition in Childhood - factors affecting nutritional requirements, food newborns and infants, nutrition toddlers and preschool children, nutrition, school-age children and adolescents, the specifics of nutrition in hospitalized children. 6th Breastfeeding - physiology of lactation, composition MM, factors affecting breastfeeding, preparation for breastfeeding women, breastfeeding technique, problems with breastfeeding, Pumping, alternative methods of feeding. 7th Sudden events in childhood - epilepsy, asthma, swelling of the epiglottis, acute appendicitis, kidney and gall colic, disorders of consciousness.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with problems of pediatric care in the country.
After passing the course, students will be able to: - Characterize pediatric care in the Czech Republic - Name the individual diseases selected systems - For individual diseases characterize cause, diagnosis and treatment
Prerequisites
Mastering subjects of nursing focus.
