Course content
|
1. General concept of anthropology as a combination of biological, cultural and social anthropology. 2. Basis, meaning and significance of anthropology. 3. Why should anthropology be integral? 4. Concept of integral anthropology in the Czech Republic. 5. Defining interdisciplinarity among anthropology, social psychology, ethnography and sociology. 6. Integral view of a human being. 7. Human body, health, illness and disease. 8. Human as a cultural and social being. 9. Contribution of philosophical anthropology. 10. Contribution of pedagogical anthropology. 11. System of anthropological education and results of the most famous anthropological researches and studies in the Czech Republic. 12. Methods of cooperation and ways of handling complex problems of interpersonal relationships, behaviour and activities under specific natural, cultural and social conditions.

Learning outcomes
|
Efforts to unify the fields led in the second half of the 20th century to define the general integral anthropology or anthropology. Both concepts are defined anthropology as a holistic science of man, society and culture that integrates and interconnects knowledge of biological and sociocultural anthropology and other relevant disciplines. Man is being given continuous blending of biological, social and cultural entities and phenomena. For anthropology is important holistic - holistic approach, because it is always the interdisciplinary study and anthropologist must utilize and combine all the knowledge from various disciplines.
Absolvents will be able to not only use bio-socio-cultural approach towards a human being as a part of a group but also utilize their knowledge of interdisciplinary approach on solving problems of our contemporary society.

Prerequisites
|
To handle discipline is required to have knowledge of general education, general psychology, philosophy, sociology at university studies and history at the high school level.
