Aims and content of English language teaching to young learners. Methods and activities suitable for teaching English at the primary level. TPR, Communicative approach. Songs, rhymes, chants and games. Classroom management, classroom English. Teaching materials suitable for young learners.

Learning outcomes
|
This course is aimed at the basic principles of ELT methodology with the focus on teaching English to young learners. The students will become acquainted with the main theoretical and practical issues of teaching English to primary school pupils. The course also focuses on practicing classroom English suitable for the primary school level.
