Course content

Communication in English, school and family, colours, weather, clothes, human body, animals, money, food and drink, town and village, transport and travel, entertainment and hobbies, health, customs at home and abroad, Christmas and other holidays.

Learning outcomes
|
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: - use grammatically correct and semantically appropriate phrases in oral communication, - respond in English in everyday situations, - express simple ideas in oral speech, - use correct pronunciation and appropriate vocabulary in general topics, - be able to present the basic ideas related to selected topics, - know basic phrases from classroom language.

Assessment methods and criteria

Student performance
- 80% attendance, - active participation in lessons, - timely completion of homework as required by the teacher, - lesson preparation and micro-teaching of the selected topic Requirements for students with ISP: - students must complete all tasks set by the teacher during and at the end of the semester - attendance is not compulsory - at the end of the semester, students might be interviewed by the teacher to demonstrate that they independently acquired all the course content dealt with in the lessons
