Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: " typologically characterize English in comparison with Czech, " describe in detail the differences between the different language levels in English and Czech, " practically point out the systemic differences between English and Czech by comparing an authentic English text and its translation into Czech, " briefly characterize the historical development of English grammar and vocabulary.
