Course content
Topics: Psychological principles underlying foreign language learning. Approaches and methods to teaching foreign languages. English as a means of communication between the teacher and learners in lessons. Teaching and learning in heterogeneous classes, pair and group work. Motivation of learners.

Learning outcomes
Students will be able to: - characterise individual differences in language development of learners across different age and proficiency levels, - name and characterise different approaches and methods to teaching foreign languages, - use basic teaching strategies to motivate learners in EFL classroom, - understand the importance of English as a means of communication between the teacher and learners.
