Proficiency Masterclass, units 1 (pp. 11-20)

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Projection (static, dynamic), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
The course aims at developing students' communicative competence at the levels C1.2 - C2.1 with the emphasis on reading comprehension and free writing.

Assessment methods and criteria
Essay, Student performance, Didactic Test

- 80% attendance - active participation in the lessons - fulfill all homework assignments - hand in 1-2 pieces of writing (with a 70% passing line) - pass tests on each of the four parts (listening, reading, English in use, grammar and vocabulary) - 70% passing line
