Course content
The language course is aimed at developing, improving and practising skills in speaking, writing, listening and reading. The course follows the textbook English File Intermediate Plus, lessons 7 and 8.

Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Group work
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: - actively use vocabulary related to money, assigned phrasal verbs - be proficient in vocabulary related to live entertainment, looking after yourself, wars and battles, historic buildings - master and correctly use the given grammar structures: phrasal verbs, verb patterns, have sth done, the passive, defining and non-defining relative clauses - demonstrate knowledge of the English Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)
The student will be able to demonstrate the achievement of language level B1/B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference and the European Language Portfolio.

Active knowledge of English.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance, Written exam

- carrying out all tasks assigned by the teacher - active lesson participation - active self-study - hand in 1 piece of writing; topics and formats will be specified by the teacher - passing the credit test (the passing line for the test is 70%)
