Learning outcomes
In the summer term the course of British literature provides an overview of its development and the most important authors from the end of the 19th century to the present days. The main focus will be on the 20th century British literature (modernism, postmodernism, postcolonial and feminist literature. Students are required to study on their own and also read compulsory books and other recommended literary works.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Essay, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary)

Students are required: to read on schedule (shorter texts: short stories or poems and also several novels), participate actively in class discussions, read recommended books in English and be prepared to discuss them with the teacher, write an essay or have a presentation.
