Course content
Modality. The grammatical category of aspect. Non-finite verb forms, their forms and syntactic function. The information structure of sentences. Nominal tendencies in English.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this seminar is to concentrate on chosen features of the English language. It is supposed to help students before the final examination and to give them a possibility to compare the traditional perspective with the latest development in linguistics.
Students will revise their knowledge of linguistic disciplines before the final examination.
