Course content
|
Students will be acquainted with the range of characteristics and needs of learners with SEN, especially dyslexic pupils, in English lessons. They will learn to use appropriate teaching methods that will enable learners with SEN acquire various aspects of English (spelling, vocabulary, grammar, listening an speaking skills) in a more effective and less stressful way. Students will learn to modify teaching materials, design appropriate learning tasks and create suitable teaching aids.

After passing the course, students will be able: to identify learners with SEN to undestand the specific needs of learners with SEN in English lessons to adopt mainstream English language teaching materials for learners with SEN to propose an individual plan for learners with SEN

Students will comment on 1-2 units of a course book commonly use dat Czech lower secondary schools, design modification suitable for pupils with SEN, reccomend suitable teaching and studying strategies, extra practise materials and special aids.
