Course content
|
Audiovisual aids in language teaching and learning. Films and TV series as foreign language input. Motivational value of using films and TV series in language class. Responding to seen films (describing the plot, discussing the film's message, etc.). Making comparisons (book and its adaptation, original and remake, etc.). Ways of using film clips (teasers, trailers) in lessons. Creating own materials.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will be able to: - understand the usage of audiovisual aids in Communicative approach to teaching languages, - explain the benefits of bringing films and TV series into language class, - assess the educational value of films and TV series with respect to the age and level of language learners, - analyse, evaluate and create activities based on films and TV series.
