Course content
Students are introduced to traumatology of the musculoskeletal system. Pathogenesis, diagnosis, therapy and prevention of individual types of trauma are explained, with a focus on subsequent rehabilitation and physiotherapeutic care. Types of multiple trauma are detailed. Students learn about the latest trends in osteosynthesis. Sports traumatology is mentioned, with respect to post-operative rehabilitation programmes.

Learning outcomes
Students will be introduced to the traumatology of the motion system. The conservative and surgical therapy and significance of occupational therapy will be discussed.
The student will be knowledgeable in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of various types of trauma. Will be able to stabilise injured parts of body and will be able to actively determine the therapeutic options.

Oral exam

Active attendance in seminars and practicals and successful exam.
