Cílem předmětu je seznámit studenty se základy zdravotnického a stomatologického managementu, s ekonomikou, legislativou, etikou a sociálními aspekty souvisejícími s poskytováním zdravotních služeb se zaměřením na zubní lékařství. Obsahem předmětu jsou základní principy zdravotnických systémů v mezinárodním srovnání (v ČR a vybraných zemích světa), globální zdraví, mezinárodní spolupráce v oblasti zdraví a stomatologické péče a metody organizace a řízení zdravotní a stomatologické péče, včetně základů zdravotní politiky, legislativy a ekonomiky s důrazem na zubní praxi včetně soukromé praxe. V rámci předmětu jsou rovněž prezentovány základní principy epidemiologického výzkumu s důrazem na Evidence-Based Dentistry, včetně implementace nejlepšího dostupného vědeckého důkazu do klinické stomatologické praxe a jeho využití i v preventivní péči. Procvičení základů efektivní komunikace zahrnuje také etické principy v práci zubních lékařů a dalších zdravotnických pracovníků ve stomatologické praxi. Studenti jsou vedeni k multikulturnímu přístupu k lidem s odlišnými kulturními a sociálními zkušenostmi.
After participating in this subject the students should be able to know and practically apply basic administrative of a dentist, know how to carry assets evidence, tax evidence, evidence of their ingoings and outgoings. They should also know the legal acts that are applied for the profession of their assistant, evidence for health insurance companies, social security office and financial institution. They should be able to carry on activities connected evidence of incomes and outgoings based on the tax law and other important legal acts. They should also be able to carry on the activities connected with payment of their products including possible use of media, know the dates and fervency of payments, economical control. Another part should be the ability of ethical approach of a dentist and knowledge of ethical codex's, dilemmas and decision making in both economical and every day sphere.
