Course content
|
The course builds on the topics of the subject Medical Informatics taught in winter term, continues in presentation of acquired and evaluated data using the software PowerPoint. In the area of application software, the students will familiarize with software designated for work organization in doctor?s office, clients file administration, data entry into patients file, examination scheduling, etc. During this course the students will also familiarize with software for image analysis aimed at biomedical problems.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will learn the basics of the informatics, computer technology and general purpose and specialized software with the emphasis on practical skills according to their field of study. Students will learn the capabilities of computer networks handling to obtain professional information of their field of interest.
Student will obtain knowledge on the software used for workplace management, patient agenda and presentation of the new information. Student will gain the understanding on the application software for the therapy practice. Student will be able to use methods required to search for the high-quality information.

Prerequisites
|
Students ought to have fundamental attainments in informatics and computer technology at the secondary education level.
