Course content
|
Course will inform students about basic concepts, indications, results, practical aspects and complications of bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell transplantation. In allogeneic stem cell transplantations approaches exploating the new nonmyeloablative conditionings has significant impact on the age and other indication restrictions. The integral component of the course is a short visit of the transplantation unit.

Learning outcomes
|
To inform students about basic terms, indications, results, practical aspects and complications of bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell transplantation. In allogeneic stem cell transplantations approaches exploating the new nonmyeloablative conditionings has significantly changed the age and other indication restrictions. The integral component of the course is a short practical visit of the transplantation unit.
After completing the course students will be able to implement the obtained knowledge into the diagnostic and treatment approach to patients or in the research.

Passed exams from Pathology, Pathologic physiology, Pharmacology and Introduction to Internal Medicine.
