Course content
|
Pharmacology - introduction. Effects of drugs on the human organism. Therapeutic, dispensatory. Basic terminology of general pharmacology, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics. Application of drugs, possibilities of application, advantages, risks. Systemic and local effects. Influence of age, sex and health. Pharmacology of autonomous nervous system - sympathetic and parasympathetic division. Basic of pharmacology of drogs with influence on heart, vessels and hemocoagulation. Treatment of pain. Antibiotics and chemotherapeutics in ophthalmology. Respiratory and GIT system drugs.

Learning outcomes

Students become familiar with the principles of the effects of drugs on the human organism. Students will be familiarize with an overview of individual groups of drugs and their adverse effects, with a special focus on drugs affecting the eyes.
