Course content
Drugs in pregnancy, risks and principles of pharmacotherapy in pregnancy, drugs with significant adverse drug reactions on the fetus. Drug safety in pregnancy. Classification of drugs according to the risk in pregnancy. Adverse drug reactions during pregnancy. Teratogenic agents during organogenesis. Harmful agents during fetal evolution. Drug dependence. Abuse during pregnancy, pregnancy and childbirth among drug addicts. Addictive drugs in pregnancy. Highly specialized care of a patient with addiction. Drug used in gastrointestinal disease. Pharmacotherapy of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. Pharmacotherapy of respiratory diseases. Pharmacotherapy of bronchial asthma in pregnancy. Overview of the most common forms of psychotropic drugs. Psychotropics during pregnancy. Treatment of depression during pregnancy.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the specifics of the drug in pregnant women and the possible risks to mother and fetus.
The student knows the specifics of medication in pregnant women, defines the possible risks for mother and fetus.

100% attendation. Seminar paper (2 A4 pages), written test (60%).
