Learning outcomes
|
The course extends and deepens the knowledge obtained in basic Pharmacology course. The course focuses on the issues of drug safety, pharmacovigilance, the most important adverse drug reactions and drug interactions. It also deals with medication errors in nursing. The course focuses on the role of nurses in ensuring the safety of pharmacotherapy.
Students will: -know the types of adverse drug reactions and will be able to recognize them in practice - know the importance of pharmacovigilance and reporting of adverse drug reactions -know the types of medication errors and will be able to avoid them - know clinically significant drug interactions and be able to avoid them
