Course content
List of grammar topics: Verb classes in the present tense ; Prepositions (basic usage) ; Some irregular verbs ; Modal verbs ; Past perfect ; Future simple and perfect List of active competences: conversational topics and professional terminology in the field.

Learning outcomes
Obtaining elementary language skills in Italian for students with little or no initial knowledge of the language. The aim of the course is to master the basics of grammar and to acquire professional vocabulary in Italian in a practical way so that students are able to communicate, e.g. during their stay in Italy, without problems. The lessons will focus on all forms of communication: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Student's level of proficiency (according to CEFR B1+): The language user understands the main ideas of comprehensible written input relating to common topics he/she encounters regularly at work, school, leisure, etc. Can cope with most situations that may arise when travelling in the area where the language is spoken. Can write a simple, coherent text on topics he/she knows well or is personally interested in. The language user can describe his/her experiences and events, dreams, hopes and goals and can explain and justify his/her opinions and plans in a concise manner.

A student is interested in Italian language.

Oral exam, Written exam, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Dialog

Study materials for the course in the Moodle system (accessible to students enrolled in the course). Attendance - max. 2 absences. Student's absence is in no way a reason for not being prepared for the next class. Active participation in class. Completion of homework or work for credit. Successful completion of the credit test (written form).
