Course content
List of grammar topics: Spelling and pronunciation ; Gender and number ; Definite and indefinite articles ; The verbs "to be" and "to have" ; The conjunction C'?/ci sono ; Basic numerals ; Adjectives ; Verb classes in the present tense ; Prepositions (basic usage); List of active competences: conversational topics and professional terminology in the field.

Learning outcomes
Obtaining elementary language skills in Italian for students with little or no initial knowledge of the language. The aim of the course is to master the basics of grammar and to acquire professional vocabulary in Italian in a practical way so that students are able to communicate, e.g. during their stay in Italy, without problems. The lessons will focus on all forms of communication: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Student's level of proficiency (according to CEFR A2): A language learner can understand frequently used expressions in most intermediate areas such as shopping, family, employment, etc., complete tasks that are routine and involve a direct exchange of information, describe matters of immediate need in simple terms.
Prerequisites
A student is interested in Italian language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Analysis of linguistic, Dialog

Study materials for the course in the Moodle system (accessible to students enrolled in the course). Attendance - max. 2 absences. Student's absence is in no way a reason for not being prepared for the next class. Active participation in class. Completion of homework or work for credit. Successful completion of the credit test (written form).
