Course content
Asepsis, antisepsis, disinfection, sterilization, surgical infections. Shock, treatment and prevention. Preoperative and postoperative care, postoperative complications. General traumatology. Fundamentals of radiological and other paraclinical examinations in surgery. Head and neck surgery including traumatology. Thoracic surgery including traumatology. Abdominal surgery including traumatology. Acute abdominal episodes. Major vascular surgery. Traumatology of locomotor apparatus, orthopaedics and rehabilitation. Urology. Diagnostic advances in surgery.

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration
Learning outcomes
To introduce basic methods and principles of diagnosis, treatment and care in surgical patients. Radiological examination in surgery and traumatology is emphasized.
Students will be able to apply their knowledge and skills in diagnostic and therapeutic approach with focus on radiological examination.
