Course content
Main topics of the course: - Basic concepts of safety, crisis management and civil emergency preparedness - characterization and separation of extraordinary events (anthropogenic, natural) - the security system of the Czech Republic, the security strategy of the Czech Republic (armed forces, armed security corps, rescue corps and emergency services) - Integrated rescue system, basic principles, tasks of public administration - status and activity of selected IRS components, - co-operation between the individual IRS components - IIS documentation, planning documentation (emergency plans, traumatology plan), - population protection (general principles of emergence, warning, evacuation, emergency survival) - crisis management and crisis management authorities - crisis situations, - planning documentation (emergency plan, crisis preparedness plan) Critical infrastructure - economic measures for crisis situations - international cooperation on emergencies and disasters (EU, UN)

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to introduce students to the principles of security of the Czech Republic, organization of integrated rescue system and activities of its individual components in the preparation and solution of extraordinary events.
After completing the course students will: - know the basic concepts of safety, crisis management and civil emergency preparedness - to characterize and divide extraordinary events (anthropogenic, natural) - familiar with the security system of the Czech Republic, the security strategy of the Czech Republic (armed forces, armed security corps, rescue corps and emergency services) - to know the principle of integrated rescue system, basic principles, tasks of public administration, the status and activity of selected IRS components, crisis management and crisis management bodies, crisis situations, critical infrastructure - familiar with IIS documentation, planning documentation (emergency plans, traumatology plan, crisis plan, emergency preparedness plan) - be familiar with international cooperation in emergencies and disasters

Didactic Test

100% participation in exercises. Completing the colloquium in the form of a written test.
