Course content
1. General surgery - filling, organization and equipment of surgical workplace; basic terminology. 2. Surgical Propedeutics - Etiology and Symptomatology of Surgical Diseases, Examination Methods, Dietetics, Therapy and Rehabilitation, Anesthesia and Analgesia, Wound Wound, Antisepsis and Asseps, Surgical Infections, Surgical Procedures, Preoperative Preparation and Postoperative Care, Complications of Postoperative Conditions, Shock Conditions . 3. Special surgery - basic groups of surgical diseases and urgent states in surgery - diagnostics and principles of therapy. 4. Transplantation, plastic surgery (replanting, burns treatment)

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide knowledge and skills of general and special surgery for medical rescue work. Emphasis is placed on diagnostics, therapy, prevention and resolution of complications, especially in emergency surgery in adults and children.
Upon completion of the course students will be able to: - describe the content, organization and equipment of the surgical site - Understand the terms of anesthesia and analgesia, antiseptic and aseptic, surgical infections - Specify the symptomatology of surgical diseases - to characterize basic groups of surgical diseases and emergency conditions in surgery - their diagnostics and principles of therapy - know the procedures for pre-operative preparation and post-operative care - recognize the complications of post-operative conditions, including shock states
