Course content
|
Basic knowledge- first aid kit, dressing techniques, positioning and transport of the casualties, unconsciousness, spastic conditions, treatment of wounds. Procedures needed for assessment and treatment of particular body systems. Immediate resuscitation, organizational structure of Integrated Rescue System. Valid legislation in first aid.

Learning outcomes
|
The course of First Aid introduces the principles of basic and extended immediate first aid, with the legislative scope and organizational structure (Integrated Rescue System). The discipline mediates information about the particularities of pre-medical first aid provision in different types of injuries and acute conditions. Students practice the algorithm of action in a particular situation in the most common types of injuries and the actual performance of the particular procedures.
Students will know the organization of the pre-medical immediate care and its legislative scope; they will be able to analyze an acute situation and provide adequate first aid in case of serious injuries and life threatening conditions.

|
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Didactic Test, Dialog, Seminar Work
Attending lectures, seminars, 90% active participation in exercises, knowledge test and practical verification of first aid procedures.
