The total scope of the subject is 34 hours, of which 10 contact hours, 24 non-contact hours. Content: - Evidence-based practice - characteristics, significance for medical practice - Evidence-based practice process - Systematic search for available evidence - Critical assessment of the evidence found - Application of evidence (results) in clinical practice, clinical balance - Evaluation of the result of the implementation of the evidence

Learning outcomes
|
The subject is conceived as theoretical-practical and its outputs are usable in all other clinical subjects. It focuses on the development of critical thinking - assessing and addressing the clinical situations of individual patients with regard to available, scientifically substantiated evidence for quality health care. An integral part is the enhancement of knowledge and skills of students in the field of information technologies, electronic databases and in the professional English language.

Active participation in seminars and exercises, preparation of a seminar paper: Use of EBP in solving model clinical situations in nursing care. Compulsory participation in the exercise.
