Course content
The subject includes a total of 28 hours, of which 14 are contact and 14 non-contact. .nursing process as a method of nursing care . characteristics of assessment of patients' needs . diagnostic process in nursing care . documenting assessment and diagnosis of patients' needs . nursing care planning, setting care goals, care plans . implementation of nursing care by the nursing team . evaluation of the effect of nursing care . documenting all phases of the nursing process . use of standard nursing terminology

Learning outcomes
The course builds on nursing theory and assumes the application of knowledge in nursing practice. The content of the nursing process as a method of providing nursing care, characteristics of its phases: assessment and diagnosis of the state of the patient's needs-individuals, families and communities, planning and implementation of nursing care team and the evaluation of the effect of this care. It focuses on the classification of human needs by various branches of the authors and models of healthy and sick persons, for persons with disabilities and dying. Study discipline analyzes all phases of the nursing process, explains the thought processes in the implementation of these phases in terms of clinical nursing care, leads students to clinical judgment and diagnostic considerations and applies standard nursing terminology in documenting the steps of the nursing process.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in seminars and exercises, 100% participation in exercises, preparation and defense of a seminar paper related to documenting the assessment and diagnosis of the patient's needs within the nursing process and planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
