Course content
The purpose of this subjekt is to deepen the knowledges and skills in the field of internal diseases. It offers the oportunity to intagrate new knowledge and skills from the internal medicine into the speciál nursing. The subjekct contens basic of diagnostics, treatment and nursing of the most important diseases: respiratory, cardiovascular, blood, digestive, kidney, endocrine and rheumatic diseases, autoiminity diseases and disturbance of inner milieu and the most common inections.

Learning outcomes
The course introduces students to clinical conditions and internal diseases. Particular emphasis is placed on pregnancy-and labour-related diseases. Nutrition of patients and of pregnant and breastfeeding women is also dealt with.
Student will know: basic principles of diagnostics, treatment regimes, and prevention of serious etiological conditions and principles of treating acute patients according to nursing process principles.
