Learning outcomes
The course is designed as a theoretical-practical course. It guides students towards the fundamentals of critical scientific thinking: understanding the need and importance of the scientific approach in nursing practice. It introduces students to the basic steps of the research process, selection of appropriate methods, processing and evaluation of research results in relation to the patient. Course content focuses on the implementation of research findings and new knowledge in nursing into clinical practice and the promotion and use of evidence-based practice. It guides students in the use of standardized terminology and introduces them to professional literature and journals. Focuses on fulfilling other aspects of the research role of the nurse through collaboration on research projects, participation in the development of nursing standards of care, and continuing education.
