Patient safety of care provided; Patient Safety Goals Patient Safety Culture, Just Culture Adverse events; Human and system factors Sociocultural aspects of safety: Areas of communication; teamwork; collaboration with management; Area of patient-centered care; Area of Informatics and Technology; Evidence Based Practice (EBP) Intervention and education strategies: Miller's triangle, problem based learning (PBL) - analysis, background, safe care practices/workshops Modification of intervention and education strategies according to the difficulty of dealing with particular situations, differences in types of workplaces; minimum interventions based on perceived knowledge, skills and attitudes.

Learning outcomes
|
The course is designed as a theoretical-practical unit emphasizing the latest scientifically proven knowledge regarding patient safety in the provision of nursing care. It provides nursing students with comprehensive information on safe nursing care, especially with regard to its socio-cultural aspects. The main focus of the course in relation to adequate educational and intervention strategies is the acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes about patient safety culture and the issue of adverse events, including the factors that influence them. The addition of the necessary competencies to deal with particular situations in relation to the provision of safe nursing care are intervened in conjunction with the students' perceived knowledge, skills, and attitudes, but also based on the different types of workplaces and the complexity of the selected interventions.
