Course content
Main topics of the course - lectures: Pediatric neurology - introduction, definition of the subject Seizure diseases of childhood Neurodevelopmental disorders (DMO, MRI, autism, ADHD) Neuromuscular disorders, cns birth defects and neurodegenerative diseases Main topics of the course - seminars: Psychomotor development and its disorders Examination methods in pediatric neurology -imaging methods -EEG, EMG -Clinical neurological examination of the child Seizure disease - therapy - first aid for a seizure and treatment Inflammatory diseases of the CNS CNS Cancers Neurointensive care (traumas, hypoxia, infections, brain death) The main topics of the course - exercises: Exercises are aimed at a comprehensive assessment of the needs in children related to a given type of disease. Practice of the nursing process, its individual phases (definition of nursing problems, plan of specialized nursing care) in model situations in children with selected neurodevelopmental, neurogenetic, neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases, with epileptic seizures, CNS inflammatory disease, CNS cancer, etc.

The course is part of a complex of subjects from clinical nursing. The course deals with the study, diagnosis and non-operative therapy of diseases of the nervous system - brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. Neurological diseases represent a group of diseases with various symptoms and consequences - among other things, they are manifested by disorders of momentum, thinking, consciousness, perception. The content of the course will be new directions in the diagnosis, treatment and treatment of children with diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. The number of non-contact hours is 20.
