Course content
The course is part of a complex of subjects from clinical nursing. It introduces students to basic diagnostic, therapeutic and nursing procedures in pediatric surgery. Main topics of the seminars: Congenital diseases of the GIT tract and basic principles of their surgical treatment, sudden abdominal events in children, surgical treatment of liver and bile bile diseases, basic surgical procedures in the treatment of respiratory tract diseases, pediatric urology, basics of pediatric cardiac surgery. Main topics of exercise: The exercises are aimed at a comprehensive assessment of needs in children related to a given type of disease. Practice the nursing process, its individual stages (defining nursing problems, specialized nursing care plans) in model situations in children with selected surgical diseases.

The course is part of a complex of subjects from clinical nursing. It introduces students to basic diagnostic, therapeutic and nursing procedures in pediatric surgery. The total scope of the course is 37 hours, of which 21 are contact and 16 hours are non-contact.
