The total scope of the course is 35 hours, of which 20 are contact hours and 15 are non-contact hours. Definition of the main topics of the subject: -characteristics of nursing as a scientific field - historical development of nursing in the world and in the Czech Republic -philosophy of nursing science - subject of nursing -standardized nursing terminology - methodology in nursing - functions and tasks of modern nursing - ensuring the quality of population health care

Learning outcomes
|
The subject includes a total of 35 hours, of which 20 are contact and 15 non-contact. The subject focuses on the theoretical basis of the nursing study program. It clarifies the nursing discipline as a system of modern science, which is defined by its own holistic philosophy with a system of values, an object of investigation, theoretical models, a conceptual apparatus - standardized nursing terminology and classification systems, and scientific methodology. The content of the subject is an overview of the development of nursing in the historical context in the world and in the Czech Republic, the multicultural dimension of nursing care for the needs of the person, family and community. In connection with increasing the efficiency of healthcare systems and ensuring the quality of care for the health of the population, the subject introduces current and current trends and the main tasks and functions of nursing in society determined by them.
