Topics of practical lectures: 1.Determining chronological age. 2.Normalization index, assessment of the proportionality of an individual relative to the reference values. 3.Organization of anthropological research. 4.Methods of anthropometry and their practical training (anthropometry of head, trunk and limbs). 5.Assessment of physical growth and individual development. 6.Evaluation of the nutritional status (BMI, WHR) and the body composition of the individual (methods according to Páčková, Matiegka, centrality index, BIA). 7.Anthropometric Heath-Carter somatotype. 8.Evaluation of the foot arch using plantogram. 9.Determination of biological proportional age.

Anthropometry in non-medical fields provides students with basic knowledge and teaches them practical skills in the field of physical anthropology. Students will acquire practical skills in the field of standardized anthropometry methods, will learn to evaluate the somatic state of the individual at different stages of ontogenesis in physical growth and development, nutritional status, fractionation of body composition, determination of anthropometric somatotype and biological age.
The aim of anthropometry in non-medical fields is to provide students with basic knowledge and teach them practical skills in the field of physical anthropology
