|
Introduction to macroeconomics. Possible legal forms of health care providing services in the Czech Republic and its aspects from the economic point of view. Basic rules of economic behaviour and basic legal norms in health care sector of the Czech Republic. The connections of a health care providing institution with the institutions of economic surrounding. Organizational structure of a health care providing institution, functions and activities of its basic subsystems. Basic economic terms of economics of a health care institution. Basic indicators, its interpretation and understanding. Managerial analysis of economic indicators, evaluation and management of a health care providing institution.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject provides understanding of economics of health care providing services. It informs the students about business activities in health care and economic aspects of such activities. It introduces the students into the field of applied economics that is economics of health care and systems of health insurance; it gets the students acquainted with the system of financing of health care sector in the Czech Republic.
The student will be able to understand the regular economic terminology, he or she will gain the knowledge of economic activities of health care providing institution, the knowledge of legal and economic aspects of various forms of health care providing institutions, the grasp of substantial activities of the necessary subsystems of health care providing institution, he or she will know the contend of important parts of health care providing institution, will understand the position, function and relationships with fundamental economic surrounding of the health care providing institution.
