Course content
Medical Rehabilitation. Definitions of rehabilitation terminology. Kinesiology. Basic movement disorders, rehabilitation examination outcomes. Clinical-kinesiological correlations. Interpretation of motorics disorders within other medical pathologies. Functional (motor) aspects in assessment and evaluation of overall psycho-somatic potential of a patient. Functional weakening, (neurological) paresis of skeletal muscles, trophicity disorders, possibilities in rehabilitation and functional movement therapy. Movement therapy forms - reflex stimulation (inhibition) and functional movement re-education. Functional ability testing in Rehabilitation. ADL - self-sufficiency tests, etc. Interpretation of clinical assessments in Rehabilitation. "Functionally correct" positioning principles (1). "Functionally correct" positioning principles (2). Breathing exercises. Patients' self-sufficiency training. Examples of conditioning exercise, and ergo-therapy. Ergonomics information. Stand and gait aids.

Learning outcomes
Applications, indications and contraindications of medical rehabilitation in individual clinical fields (neurology, neurosurgery, traumatology, surgery, internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and psychiatry). Rehabilitation nursing.
Students will gain an overview of rehabilitation care in individual clinical fields and will be capable of applying the knowledge for individual diagnoses.
