1.Respiratory physiotherapy and breath rehabilitation. 2.Influence of posture on respiration. Dominance of breathing, work with breath as a motor function. 3.General principles of breathing exercises to influence neuromuscular excitability. 4.Positioning as a facilitation tool. 5.Invasive inputs and monitoring on an intensive care bed. Hemodialysis, ECMO, etc. 6.Rules, principles and possibilities of artificial pulmonary ventilation in adult and pediatric patients. 7.Secondary changes due to long-term oxygen therapy. 8.Respiratory equipment, cough assist and work with them. 9.Patient with disorder of consciousness, coma, vegetative condition, apalic and bulbar syndrome. 10.Respiratory physiotherapy on a standard bed. 11.Respiratory physiotherapy on an intensive care bed. 12.Importance of ventilation modes and application possibilities. 13.Positioning, handling and mobilizing of a patient. 14.Demonstration in a patient with respiratory distress. 15.Use of respiratory aids in intensive care units. Celkový rozsah předmětu je 54 hodin, z toho 30 kontaktních a 24 nekontatních.

Approaching the practice and theoretical basics of rehabilitation in intensive care medicine. It is presented the system of respiratory physiotherapy in intensive care patients. Familiarization with artificial lung ventilation and oxygen therapy in general. The issue of a child patient on an intensive care bed.
Orientation in the issue of patients on intensive care bed. Examination of respiratory functions in patients with artificial pulmonary ventilation or supportive oxygen therapy. Determination of physiotherapeutic plan and targets in these patients. After completing the course, the student should master basic handling and techniques of respiratory physiotherapy with the aim of early verticalization of the patient.
