Obsah předmětu
|
Topics of seminars and practical lectures: 1.Correct Czech pronunciation - exercises. 2.Everyday situations, common conversation: e.g. greetings, introduction, rooms description, everyday activities, shopping, hobbies, town, country, post office, bank, restaurant, hotel, travelling, family, free time. The course focuses on practical mastery of the language. The following methods will be used in teaching Czech: class discussion, listening, roleplay, reading, writing, interpretation, student presentations. Emphasis is placed on the student's self-study during home preparation.

During the first year, students will get acquainted with the Czech language in order to navigate topics related to everyday and student life, family, orientation in the city, accommodation, shopping, restaurants, etc.
The so-called Survival Czech, i.e. students should be able to make themselves understood in basic everyday situations.

After the first semester, students should have reached CEFR level A1/1. Students will understand basic phrases related to everyday situations, e.g. ordering in a restaurant, arranging accommodation, finding their way around the city, information about themselves and their family, being able to describe where they live, etc. The student can express himself/herself in simple sentences and phrases. They can write down simple information and short texts. The student understands basic information and simple texts. During the first semester will students study lessons 1-5 from the book Czech Step by Step. Active participation in the lessons is required for successful completion of the course (4 absences per semester is allowed, but the student is required to complete the information from the missed lesson.). The student is obliged to inform the teacher of his/her absence. Regular home preparation is required. During the semester the student will take 2-3 Progress tests, which must be passed with a minimum of 65 %. The basic limit to for passing the Credit test is 65 %.
