Topics of practical lectures: 1.Theoretical basics of functional exercise in PT, indication, contraindication of body load. 2.Exercise to restore and maintain muscle balance, the analytical approach according to individual muscle groups with the focus on muscles with a tendency to hyperactivity and shortening. 3.Exercise to restore and maintain muscle balance, the analytical approach according to individual muscle groups with the focus on muscles with a tendency to hypoactivity and slackness. 4.Exercise to restore postural activities (balance training, equilibrium exercises). 5.Aerobic load and its use for cardiorespiratory training. Celkový rozsah předmětu je 27 hodin, z toho 10 kontaktních a 17 nekontaktních.

The course of functional exercise in PT introduces a student into the basic possibilities of physical exercises used in a healthy population with an emphasis on their health benefits.
A student will acquire basic overview in aerobic capacity, strength, endurance, balance and mobility exercises. Further he/she will be able to identify with basic evaluation the key areas in the client and design simple triggered exercise units for specific groups.
