Course content
The epidemiological method of work orginiated and developed in the context of the occurence of serious infectious diseases. Nowdays, especially in more developed countries, with the changes in the health status of the population and The epidemiological method of work originated and developed in the context of the occurrence of serious infectious diseases. Nowadays, especially in more developed countries, when the picture of population health has changed and non-infectious chronic diseases have come to dominate morbidity and mortality, with their relationship to lifestyle, living and working environment and social conditions, the epidemiological method of work has also become more focused on non-infectious diseases. During the study of the epidemiological method of work, students learn to use the various studies and methods needed in promoting and protecting the health of individuals, groups and society. Charge of epidemiological method of work: - Basic epidemiological studies (observational and interventional); epidemiological indicators of frequency and association, - Determination of the extent and dynamics of disease prevalence; identification of groups at risk, - identify causes of diseases and health-enhancing factors, - preventing the spread of infectious and non-infectious diseases and reducing mortality, - evaluate the best screening and diagnostic methods; evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of intervention procedures; establish and evaluate health protection and promotion programmes, etc, - principles of EBM and EBHP.
