Course content
|
Introduction to ontogenesis and developmental kinesiology. Specifics of 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimenon. Theoretical basis for techniques used in pediatrics (Vojta method, Bobath Concept). The application of Vojta method on infants and small children; CNS pattern inscription. Functions tied to reflex locomotion, muscle groups stretching, reciprocal pattern, synergist's function and body posture.

Learning outcomes
|
Practical application of developmental kinesiology for kinesiotherapy in children, with a special focus on practical skills in reflex facilitation of locomotion and respiration.
Students will acquire a basic overview of the practical use of reflex locomotion in infants and young children.
