Course content
Medical rehabilitation strategies in patients after stroke and transverse spinal lesions. General principles and specific forms of movement re-education in patients with peripheral paresis (n. radialis, n.ulnaris, n. medianus, n. thoracicus longus, n. suprascapularis, n. axillaris, n.femoralis, n. ischiadicus, n. peroneus, n. tikalis and n. facialis). Extra-pyramid and demyelinating CNS diseases, cerebellar lesions - PNF and Bobath Concept application limits. Medical and other goals and forms of rehabilitation in children with motoric disorders within cerebral palsy. Comprehensive rehabilitation in MS patients, and patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, including psychological and social issues. Rehabilitation principles and goals, specific forms of physiotherapy after lumbar spine compressive disc syndrome surgeries. Medical rehabilitation strategies in chronic LBP (low back pain) and UBP (upper back pain) patients. Clinical practicum in the University Hospital Olomouc Clinics - as assigned.

Learning outcomes
Further knowledge of motorics re-education, palpation diagnostics of reflex disorders in movement periphery, argumentation, principals in rehabilitation nursing. Kinesiotherapeutic methods and targeted movement therapy, especially in neurological diagnoses.
Students will master the basic kinesiotherapy strategy in individual clinical fields (neurology, neurosurgery, and surgery), and will be capable of managing rehabilitation and education programs for individual patients.
