Course content
Positioning - types, relevance. Verticalitzation of a patient; self-sufficiency training, use of aids. Gait - types, pathology, assessment, its use in therapy, therapy of gait, aids. Full relaxation techniques. Respiration kinesiotherapy basics. Analytical kinesiotherapy methods - principles, usage (DeLorme Exercise, exercise based on Muscle Test), biofeedback. Stretching - types, principles, its use in kinesiotherapy. Muscle relaxation techniques. Micro-morphology and function of the muscle fibre - applications for physiotherapy. Reflex massage (segmental), its physiological effects, indications, contraindications. Soft Tissue Techniques, Lymphodrenage - effects, methods, usage. Synthetic methods in kinesiotherapy - basic principles. Principles of facilitation techniques. Balance aids in rehabilitation (Swiss ball, OverBall, thera-band). Practical use of the above mentioned topics during winter and summer term on in-patients.

Learning outcomes
Basic knowledge and skills for primary therapeutic contact with a patient with a dominant motorics disorder in the framework of other diseases. Practical mastering of positioning principles in immobile patients, basics of respiratory physiotherapy and postural-locomotion strategies re-education.
Students will master the basic kinesiotherapeutic strategy; will acquire a rational overview of functional movement therapy in muscle segment periphery; under supervision they will be able to solve simple rehabilitation and education programs for individual patients.
