Course content
Rehabilitation principles and strategies in patients with tumorous neurological diseases and after neurosurgical intervention. Rational rehabilitation in stroke patients. Rehabilitation principles and strategies in patients with arterial or traumatic spinal cord damage, after neuro-infections with dominant damage to the spinal motor neurons, and poly-neuroradicular syndromes. Rehabilitation principles and strategies in patients with topic pathology of peripheral nerves and neural roots in cervical and lumbar spine region. Rehabilitation principles and strategies in patients with topical pathology of skeletal spine (cervical myelopathy, patients with spinal injuries and surgeries, structural scoliosis, spondylolisthesis). Rehabilitation principles and strategies in patients with central "non-tumorous" CNS pathology (perinatal encephalopathy, ALS, SM, etc.) Rehabilitation principles and strategies in patients with spinal musculo-skeletal syndromes. Targeted physiotherapy of institutionalized rehabilitation patients at the University Hospital Olomouc.

Learning outcomes
Students will acquire a synthetic overview of movement therapy in clinical conditions and the basics of therapeutic routines with supervised practice on selected in-patient wards for the most common categories of patients.
Students will master the synthetic kinesiological assessment of patients with a specific diagnosis and will be able to apply specific kinesiotherapeutic and physical strategy in individual clinical fields. Students will be capable of managing rehabilitation and education programs for individual patients.
