Topics: - international politics of research, development and innovation of the Czech Republic, - financing sciences, development and innovations (basic, applied research, institutional and earmarked funding), - requirement for preparation of a grant application - project management (project objectives, eligible costs, timetable preparation, professional competences, preparation of project outputs, interim and final reports), - tender documentation and grant applications from selected providers, - principles of the Student Grant Competition at Palacký University Olomouc.

The subject is focused on the development of students' competences necessary for the preparation of a research project.

Assessment methods and criteria

Preparation of a research project on a selected topic. In the project, the student will defend his/her knowledge of the topic by formulation relevant research quetsions, adequate methods and evaluation of ethical, methodological and organisational risks of the project. The assingsment will also include providing feedback on projects of other students.
